The Wayne County Land Bank is looking to enroll residents of the City of Melvindale in a exterior home repair program funded by the Wayne County Land Bank and the Michigan State Housing Development Authority. Below please find a map that highlights the area of Melvindale we are servicing for NEP9. *Please note we are only accepting applications from the specified area outlined in red in the City of Melvindale as shown in the map below. If you do not reside in the area shown, please do not fill out an application or contact us and instead call United Way at 211 for other grant opportunities*
The intention of the program is to provide repairs on the front of your house including but not limited to roofing, steps, and railings. The external home repair program is for owner-occupied, single-family homes that are in good standing with their property tax and mortgage payments. The project cost is not to exceed $10,000 and the owner must agree to live in their home for five years following the repairs.
