Welcome to the Wayne County Land Bank

Thank you for visiting our site! The Land Bank is a public entity that promotes community development across Wayne County. Currently, the Land Bank owns and manages over 1,000 tax-foreclosed public properties. Please note, we do not provide a list of properties in our inventory, you must search our inventory online. Please click here to search all our properties where you’ll also be directed to fill out our online application if you’d like to purchase a property. Once your application is submitted, a designated team member will reach out to you within 7-10 business days regarding your application.

MI-Hope Program: If you are inquiring about the MI-Hope Program, you must fill out an application directly on MSHDA’s website to be considered for the program. Our office will not contact you unless you fill out an application first. Once you apply, our office will review your application and then reach out to you. To be eligible for the MI-Hope program, the deed to the home needs to be in the name of the applicant, the home has to be insured, and the taxes must be current.  This is not an “emergency repair program” as it can take several weeks to hear from anyone regarding your application. Please click here for a direct link to MSHDA’s website to apply for the program. For application assistance, please call United Way/211 number at (844) 477-0340.

The Land Bank Board of Directors will hold its Regular Meeting scheduled for August 8, 2024 at the Wayne County Treasurer’s Office located at 400 Monroe, 5th Floor, Detroit, MI 48226. For further information, please click here.
