As Executive Director for the Wayne County Land Bank, Daniel oversees core programs operated by the Land Bank in collaboration with its municipal and private partners, including Nuisance Abatement, Quiet Title, Compliance, Guided Growth, and Side Lot Sales. Daniel brings a deep background in local government law to the Land Bank. A graduate of Harvard Law School, where he was an editor of Harvard City Law and a member of the Law and Local Government Group, Daniel has performed past work in the Government Relations practice at Mayer Brown, LLP and in the law departments at the City of Chicago and City of New York. From these positions Daniel gained expertise drafting legislation, providing regulatory counsel, and negotiating interagency disputes. Daniel has also amassed legal and policy experience at the United States Department of Transportation and as a judicial clerk for Judge Nanette K. Laughrey in Jefferson City, Missouri.
A native of Chicago, Daniel lives in Plymouth and enjoys exploring Wayne County and learning about Metro Detroit.
